Still have your copy of “The MIT Guide to Lock Picking” from the BBS era, perhaps tucked away with the Anarchist’s Cookbook and other favorites? The hobbyist lockpicking scene has exploded in the U.S. in the last decade, and Austin has been a major player in its rise to popularity. Join jgor, nationally-ranked competitive lockpicker and organizer of the Longhorn Lockpicking club for a hands-on introduction to locksport and how lockpicking works.
There will be plenty of practice locks and lockpick tools to play with after the presentation, but if you have an interesting lock or happen to have your own lockpick set feel free to bring those along as well.
