EFF-Austin Celebrates The 25th Anniversary Of The Electronic Frontier Foundation At Black Star Co-op
Twenty five years ago marks the founding of The Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco, one of the nation’s foremost defenders and advocates for digital rights. Shortly thereafter, EFF-Austin was founded as the first and to this day only local chapter of The EFF. Over the subsequent years, EFF-Austin has been at the vanguard of keeping our local citizens up to date on the latest happenings in the electronic frontier, hosting regular meetups with a variety of illuminating public speakers at the forefront of research and public policy in our increasingly digital world. We’ve accomplished a lot in this time, and in celebration we’re throwing a big party at Black Star Co-op on Monday, July 20th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm to which you are all invited. Come on out and drink, eat, and be merry with your fellow digital citizens while we reflect on where we’ve been and look forward to figuring out all the exciting places we have yet to go!
